Volunteer
I’ve seen and met angels wearing the disguise of ordinary people living ordinary lives. ~Tracy Chapman
West Columbia Gorge Humane Society is an organization which runs primarily through the efforts of volunteers—people who give their time and hearts to support and help our mission. Individuals and families willing to dedicate a few hours a week will find their skills and talents make a huge difference.
How to volunteer
To join our team of volunteers, please complete the WCGHS Volunteer Application and review/sign the Volunteer Handbook below. Completed applications can be emailed to volunteer@wcghs.org, mailed to the address listed at the top of the application or dropped off at the shelter during open hours.
All volunteers are asked to attend a one-hour volunteer orientation to learn more about our organization as well as current openings. Orientations are held the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in East Vancouver. Once your completed application is turned in, our Volunteer Committee will contact you within two weeks to sign you up for an orientation.
To register for our next orientation, please visit the Orientation Registration registration page.
